AFFILIATIONS
Control Pest UK Ltd is a member of the British Pest Control Association (BPCA) – the trade body for the pest management industry in the UK. Our members’ logo is earned and we’re proud to display it because membership is a sign of professionalism and a mark of quality; we’ve been Full Servicing Members of BPCA for over 30 years.
BPCA promotes best practice and being part of the organisation provides independent proof that we’re committed to excellence in every part of our business. Membership is recognition of our expertise, it shows we abide by industry Codes of Conduct and Practice and pass regular audits against British Standard EN 16636 – the benchmark of quality for pest management operators across Europe and it confirms we can provide detailed advice on pest prevention measures and will carry out a proper survey before starting any work. It’s also evidence that we protect staff, customers and members of the public through risk and COSHH assessments, that we only employ technicians who meet or exceed the industry standard qualifications, that we’re committed to Continuous Professional Development and that we hold the proper insurances.
Control Pest UK are proud to support the CRRU (Campaign for Responsible Rodenticide Use), which seeks to balance the need for rodenticides to protect the food supply from contamination and destruction by rodents, against the potential risk to wildlife, including barn owls, kestrels and red kites. Under the banner “Think Wildlife”, the CRRU’s Code and Best Practice outlines how rodenticides are to be used to minimise exposure to wildlife.
Alcumus SafeContractor is a leading UK Health & Safety accreditation scheme with over 28,000 members. In order to become accredited, Control Pest UK has been audited by Alcumus to ensure our Health and Safety Policy, Health and Safety Procedures, First Aid Provisions, Health and Safety Management training documents and more meet their strict standards for comprehensive risk assessment and management systems. Our certification of accreditation assures our clients that we take health and safety issues very seriously and that correct procedures are followed each and every time we go to work for them.
This national scheme began as a response to concerns about ‘rogue traders’, to provide consumers with a list of local businesses which have given their commitment to trading fairly. In order to be approved to join the scheme, Control Pest UK has undergone and passed a series of tailored background checks, received visits from Trading Standards representatives and provided references from satisfied clients. As members, we agree to abide by the scheme’s code of conduct and follow both the letter and the spirit of the law and are subject to ongoing monitoring from Buy with Confidence representatives.
